It is our understanding in situations like these that Prairie Dog Pet Mercantile should remain OPEN. Just as grocery stores provide necessary sustenance to humans, pet stores that sell food, products, and supplies are considered an essential business and must remain operational to ensure the continued care of our community of pets.
As of now we are doing our best to limit the amount of time both our customers and partners can interact in our stores. We consider it our community responsibility and are practicing social distancing (6 feet) as much as possible during interactions with our customers. And ask that our customers practice the same while in our store.
Our Prairie Dog team is following CDC recommended cleaning practices. We’re using disinfectant formulated to kill coronavirus, among other germs. We have increased the frequency of cleanings of high use surfaces like countertops, door handles, iPads, pens, stylus, and credit card readers.
*We would like to reserve the first hour we’re open to our more vulnerable shoppers. Seniors or customers with compromised health, that puts them at an increased risk, are advised to shop before 10:30 am if at all possible.
*We also have been offering curbside pick up to any customers requesting that with a phone call. If you know what you need to get, we can pull the product, run your CC over the phone with your permission and bring it out to your vehicle. If you don’t immediately get a hold of one of our team members on the first call, please wait 5 min. and call back. We appreciate your patience in this as we have very limited staffing and we could be assisting another customer.
